Please send the Director of Admissions via fax, mail or email any pertinent information that would assist in assessing the client’s appropriateness for either of our Kids First Foundation programs (i.e. psychological evaluation, educational testing information/evaluations, IEP if applicable, psycho-educational evaluation if applicable, transcripts, medication scripts, immunization records, etc). |

If the client meets initial criteria (please see exclusionary criteria for each Kids First Foundation program), an interview will be conducted, which ideally occurs face-to-face, but can also be facilitated over the phone for those clients who are out-of-state or out-of-county (more than a three-hour drive away). If parents/guardian are available for a tour/interview with the client, then the interview can be held at the desired facility. |

After the tour/interview, the client’s history and overall presentation during the interview will be further reviewed with our Clinical Team, and a decision will be made regarding not only the appropriateness of the client for our program, but also if our program can meet the needs of the client. We are NOT a holding facility for our clients; rather our goal is to aid the client in successfully completing their treatment goals so that they may transition home or to a lower level of care, becoming functional individuals of the community. |

A phone call will be made regarding our decision within three days of the interview. |

Transportation will be arranged accordingly between our facility and the appropriate parties (group home, school, or home). Because our program is on a voluntary basis, we do not accept any clients in need of escort services. The client must openly and willingly arrive on the day of admission. |
| Kids First Foundation accepts county agency funding, including Health and Human Services/Department of Social Services (foster youth, adoptions, CPS), Probation, and County Mental Health (AB services). If there is no county funding, we also accept private pay referrals, with a cost of $350.00 per day and a minimum of a two-week stay. |
