MISSION
A Mission Statement is what Kids First Foundation’s direct care and administrative staff do on a daily basis in order to help its clients.

Kids First Foundation aspires to create an environment of positive change that improves the quality of life and overall independence of its clients. We want to help each and everyone one of them realize their potential (and therefore increase self-esteem) by preparing and providing them with the life skills needed to become successful members of the community. This is a collaborative effort by direct care staff and administrative staff alike. Staff must take a pro-active role in role-modeling, teaching, guiding and praising the clients.

VISION
A Vision Statement is a long-term goal or idea of what the agency would like to accomplish.

Kids First Foundation would like to see each of its clients transition to a less restrictive environment, with the skills and training acquired to become functional, independent and successful members of the community.

PURPOSE
A Purpose is the reason why we do what we do and what we desire to accomplish.

The purpose of Kids First Foundation is to assist our clients in reaching their full potential, and show them that there is a way to rise above their current situation, not settle for it. We truly believe in giving every resident the opportunity to succeed and become independent members of the community. This is accomplished through teaching residents positive social behaviors and life skills that promote the improvement of self-esteem and a healthy self image. We put an emphasis on providing a variety of choices (from activities, to rewards / reinforcements, to achievement goals) in order to empower each person, while still providing structure and consistency.
